About MAViO

Since 2011

MAViO is a voluntary initiative established in October 2010, with its first event held in May 2011. It is dedicated to promoting and developing the Maltese aviation scene. The initiative brings together aviation professionals, enthusiasts, and local organizations to foster collaboration and growth. By providing a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing local aviation talent, MAViO helps enhance Malta’s aviation infrastructure, education, and safety standards. Additionally, MAViO works to raise public awareness about the positive impact of aviation on the economy and society. MAViO also established the island’s longest-running aviation conference and Malta’s first aviation industry awards, both of which have continued to grow since their inception almost 15 years ago. Through its dedicated team of journalists, MAViO shares stories related to the Maltese archipelago and has played a key role in putting Malta on the cover of some of the most prestigious aeronautical publications, including World Airnews, Airliner World and Jp4 Aeronautica among others.
